The Opportunity rover on Mars got stuck in a dune some weeks ago; after a lot of hard work, the MER team at JPL managed to get her out again. Here’s a picture of the spot where she was stuck. (Click to get the full-size picture.)

Had to share: Opportunity has a blog, so all her peeps can stay up to date with what she’s doing!
I find the satiric tone, combined with an obvious appreciation (and interest) in the day to day workings, nothing short of fascinating.
